The blackouts that left hundreds of millions of Indians sweltering in the dark last month underscored the status of air-conditioning as one of the world’s most vexing environmental quandaries. We can’t live with air-conditioning, but we can’t live without it.
“It is true that air-conditioning made the economy happen and is doing so for other emerging economies, on the other hand, it poses a huge threat to global climate and energy use. The current pace is very dangerous.” said Pawel Wargocki, an expert on indoor air quality at the International Center for Indoor Environment and Energy.
“We need to educate people there are other ways to be comfortable than just turning up the A.C., you have to use it wisely,” said Mr. Wargocki, speaking from his condo in Singapore with the windows open late one evening to create natural drafts for cooling.

“Camels are perfectly suited to live in some of the harshest conditions in the world,” says Mike Kuhn, a zoo keeper at the San Diego Zoo who works closely with the camels. “Without every adaptation in a camel working together, camels would not be able to survive in their environment.”
Because camels evolved in harsh desert environments, they have developed a number of specialized physiological structures allowing them to cope with heat and dehydration more efficiently than any other creature on earth.This is one of several specialized adaptations the camel possesses that help it survive in harsh, hot conditions.
Camel can live in desert even if the weather above 40 degrees Celsius. The inherent system of camel provide this ability to camel. On a warm day a man will start to sweat soon as his temperature exceeds 37 degree Celsius, however the temperature of camel will rise to 40 degree Celsius before camels being to sweat.
